Monumental rock elopement, Fuerteventura

Are you dreaming of a unique intimate destination wedding in the middle of a ‘wonder of nature’? In Fuerteventura, a natural arch in the rocks, shaped by the trade winds over many centuries, forms a monumental church for your elopement.

Fuerteventura is an island that has it all: beaches, mountains, volcanoes and rocks. It is beautiful. No wonder that this was Matias and Claire’s very first holiday destination. Because of the unbridled beauty of the island, the couple wanted to continue their journey, this time with their wedding.

Before I could even ask them the key details for their destination wedding, Claire told me she wanted a location that was bathed in gold. Just like her dress. “And just like my golden fiancé,” she added with determination. “It could be a beach,” she continued, “or a mountain. As long as it’s beautiful and golden…” I was given a clear briefing: the key word here was gold.

I knew the perfect location for Matias and Claire, in the rocky mountains. Yes, it would be a steep climb, but we could take our time. The emotions we feel on the way to a venue are just as important as the moment we arrive.

And so we climbed to a golden venue, where this lovely golden couple would celebrate their golden elopement during the golden hour. It was a glorious day, bright and sparkling. A refreshing breeze gently blew through the arch, which felt so nice after our walk and gave the intimate ceremony a lively and cheerful atmosphere. It all came together: Claire’s dress, the vows Matias so carefully spoke, the rings, the light, and the cool rocks that created an elegantly designed location.

Are you ready to elope against a backdrop of golden, monumental rocks?
Let’s talk about all the possibilities.
